Celebrity magazines are known for pairing up two photos of stars in similar outfits and asking who wore the clothing better. Now comedian Robin Williams is getting into the act.
Tuesday night, Williams tweeted out a picture of himself in drag for the 1993 movie "Mrs. Doubtfire" next to a picture of a pregnant Kim Kardashian at Monday night's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York.
The similarities were obvious. Both Williams-as-Doubtfire and Kardashian-as-herself were swathed in high-necked, long-sleeved, pinky-peach dresses. Of course, Kardashian's was a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci offering with a high leg slit and matching gloves and shoes, whereas Williams' dress may have come from the Jaclyn Smith for Kmart line by way of the 20th Century Fox costume department (we're just guessing here).
Some have questioned Kardashian's choice of gown, but Us Weekly reports that Kardashian and the designer loved the look.
"She loved the dress just the way Riccardo designed it for her," a source told Us.
"I think she looked amazing," designer Tisci told Us.
But Williams' fans were loyal to his classic character. Wrote one in response to Williams' Tweet, "No Doubtfire who wore it better!"
