Mila Kunis Rep Shoots Down Ashton Kutcher Dating Rumor
Thank goodness.
Following troubling chatter that Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher were a lot more than mere former co-stars, the actress' rep has come out and made it very clear: the rumor is not true.
"They're so not dating. They've been friends for years," this Kunis insider told Us Weekly, pointing out that three other people Mila and Ashton for dinner on Sunday, a fact not reported by original source, X17. "Definitely nothing going on there."
The talk picked up yesterday because Kunis and Kutcher dined together and reportedly shopped for furniture together over the weekend, with a source saying they concluded the day at the actor's mansion.
But it is true they appeared on That 70s Show many years ago and could easily be nothing more than friends as a result of that connection.
Which comes as a relief. Kutcher is a pretty big douchebag. No way he deserves to see more of this body than we do.
Houston's death ruled an accident
Detectives made the decision after reviewing the coroner's report.
Police have closed their investigation into Whitney Houston's death without finding any evidence to suggest it was anything than an accidental drowning, investigators announced Wednesday.

Rosen re-iterated condolences to Houston's family and friends in a brief statement.
Houston's death on the eve of the Grammy Awards stunned the world. The singer had been attempting a comeback and had finished work on a remake of the film "Sparkle" when she drowned.

Microsoft just announced that Windows 8 will come in three different flavors: Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT. Windows 8 will be the mainstream consumer edition. Trident Times: Dating, Domestic Violence, and the Law
Probably no one wants to start a romantic relationship with the intention of getting hurt. Unfortunately, abusive fights occur rather repeatedly. And in order to eliminate future violent behavior, state and local laws should not let abusers get away with it. South Carolina?s current domestic violence law offers juristic protection to only those individuals who are married or live together with their abusive companions. However, a newly proposed bill may finally change this disparity and expand the protection boundaries. It provides equal protection to all couples, regardless of their relationship status: married, live-in, or dating ? it doesn?t matter. The question is will they approve the new law or reject it. However, the issue of safety in dating could be resolved only if the proposed law takes effect.
Almost all states in our country protect dating couples with their laws. But, according to Ellen Meder, in defiance of common sense, ?South Carolina is one of only eight states that does not include relationships under its domestic violence codes.? ?This means that only those individuals who are married or live together with their abusers can hope for full protection. As Benjamin Stevens states, ?Domestic violence is not limited to bodily harm, but can also consist of sexual abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse, and psychological abuse. While only the first two are considered criminal behavior, the remaining three can have just as severe of consequences and can be psychologically crippling.? In accordance with current law, any violator may psychologically, financially, or emotionally abuse another person, and still remain free to commit other crimes. ?Therefore, the domestic violence law of South Carolina lets potentially dangerous perpetrators freely walk our streets with no criminal record. Maybe this is one of the reasons why the domestic violence rates are so high in our state.
Ellen Meder reported that ?South Carolina has the 7th?highest rate of women killed by men in the nation and last year more than 40 domestic violence victims were killed. . . . Under current domestic violence law 60 percent of relationship abuse victims aren't protected because they aren't married and don't live together.? But the consequences from domestic violence are the same for live-in, married or just dating couples. Besides, any union starts from dating, and an unconditional requirement of a future-oriented dating relationship is feeling safe and secure. But until violators make their relationship official, they are not legally liable and so are free to continue to hurt others. Thus, while abusers face no repercussions for their actions, consequences of violence stay with victims forever.?While it is difficult enough for the victims to come to the court and talk about the abuse, it is almost impossible if no protection is guaranteed. Rebecca Callaham, writing for The Greenville News, states, ?The FBI reports domestic violence as the leading cause of injury to women. However, it is the least reported crime. Less than one-third of victims actually report their victimization.?? I personally knew a girl who was scared to get help because of a lack of evidence, and she never did. Thankfully, she is alright, but we don?t know how many more victims have to suffer until the law stops her abuser. And she is only one of many other adults that are scared.
Another solution to the problem is to make sure that abused teenagers are not hiding their problems. Matt Comer reports, ?Responding to family and dating violence is made harder by the fact that many affected young people are reluctant to turn to caring adults for help, preferring to confide in friends for support. Some hesitate to tell anyone at all, and so suffer in silence.? Jim Rex, the former State Superintendent of Education, is also concerned about adolescents and says that ?teens in an abusive dating relationship are more likely than non-abused peers to smoke, use drugs, engage in unhealthy diet behaviors or suffer eating disorders, engage in risky sexual behavior, and attempt or consider suicide.? Similar to adults, teens are scared to share their problems and don?t protect themselves. But if they were assured by law against any unpleasant consequences, we would have a much healthier and more secure society.
Fortunately, the problem has been recognized by SC authorities, and, Ellen Meder states, Bill S. 539 ?would expand domestic violence laws from ?household members? to people in dating relationships.? ?This bill would let any violence victim get an order of protection from the Family Court. And, according to the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault specialists, ?getting an order of protection, currently reserved for only married or live-in couples, is better for dating violence than a regular restraining order because it acknowledges that violence has already occurred and that each subsequent incident has a higher chance of being lethal.? Victim?s possession of this order allows the police to instantly take the abuser to jail, which ?increases their safety because it allows for that more immediate response.? Once effective, it won?t just provide a long hoped-for guarantee of protection to SC residents, but also will decrease the number of domestic violence crimes by warning potential abusers.
Critics of the bill argue against it. Ellen Meder states, that the overprotection and a ?lower standard of proof? may create some cost and time-consuming issues by increasing the chance of putting innocent people in jail and causing an overflow in the court rooms. There always will be a selfish or dishonest person willing to misuse the law in a personal vendetta. It may make it hard to distinguish between a victim in need and a lying pretender, such as a jealous girlfriend. But those who truly need? protection should not suffer because of them, and an innocent person can always prove his or her innocence. Besides, the domestic violence law already exists; it just doesn?t guarantee any protection for a certain group of people, a group that does not differ from others in protection needs and legal rights.?
We may not be capable of preventing natural disasters, car accidents, and other mortal dangers. But it is definitely in our power to protect dating couples from domestic violence, and safety must be guaranteed equally to everybody. Moreover, I consider it as an important duty of South Carolina, especially knowing that the domestic violence rates are so high in our state, and that the actual numbers might be significantly higher, because many incidents are not reported. Our state will only benefit from including dating couples in the domestic violence law. By approving the proposed law South Carolina authorities will only give everybody much needed protection, so that all the citizens can be sure they are safe while dating.

Mali junta, ECOWAS confirm transition deal
Mali's military junta and the West African bloc ECOWAS have announced a deal that includes the lifting of sanctions and an amnesty for those involved in last month's coup.
The agreement provides a framework for a return to constitutional rule under an interim leader who will oversee democratic elections and handle the crisis in the north, where Islamists and Tuareg rebels have seized control.
It came after Mali's Tuareg rebels declared independence Friday in the north, a move rejected by the international community and the Islamist insurgents they fought beside, as fears grew of a humanitarian crisis.
The United States, Africa and Europe dismissed the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad's (MNLA's) declaration of independence.
The declaration, long a goal of Tuareg rebels, is a bid to formalise the situation on the ground.
A democratic success since its last coup 21 years ago, Mali is now roughly divided into a Tuareg rebel-controlled north and junta-controlled south.
ECOWAS chief Alassane Ouattara of Ivory Coast said sanctions should be lifted "immediately", Burkina Faso's Foreign Minister Djibril Bassole told public television station ORTM, referring to Friday's deal.
He also said President Amadou Toumani Toure, who was overthrown on March 22 and has not been seen since in public, should be able to live where he wants under army protection.
Bassole, speaking on behalf of ECOWAS Mali negotiator Blaise Compaore, the president of Burkina Faso, said: "We wanted... Toure to be allowed to return to the house of his choice and that he could also be protected by the defence and security forces."
He was speaking at Kati near Bamako, the headquarters of the junta, whose head, Captain Amadou Sanogo, read out the accord signed with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
At the same place coup leader Sanogo had announced Tuesday that the junta planned legal action against Toure for "high treason and embezzlement."
The text of the deal was signed by Bassole and Sanogo, with Ivorian Minister for African Integration Adama Bictogo and Nigeria's Foreign Minister Nurudeen Muhammad as witnesses.
Under the agreement, to be carried out "under the aegis of the ECOWAS mediator and with the support of the international community," the speaker of the national assembly would become interim president with a transitional prime minister and government.
The single-chamber Malian parliament is headed by Dioncounda Traore, who is currently abroad.
The accord states that the interim president would have "a mission to organise a presidential election in the constitutional timeframe of 40 days."
However, given the "exceptional circumstances... due to the institutional crisis and the armed rebellion in the north" it would be impossible to hold elections within 40 days and so it was "indispensable to organise a political transition" until electoral lists could be revised and "accepted by all."
On April 2 ECOWAS decided to clamp an immediate total embargo on Mali, a north African country of 15 million inhabitants, in a bid to return to constitutional order after the March 22 military coup.
The embargo included the closing of all borders of ECOWAS states with Mali except for humanitarian reasons, closing to Mali access to ECOWAS ports, and the freezing of Malian bank accounts.
Complicating the picture in the African nation, a radical Islamist group, Ansar Dine, has exploited the chaos to swoop in and instal sharia law in parts of the north.
While for a time the Islamists fought in concert with the MNLA, they have given short shrift to their independence plans.
"Our war is a holy war," Ansar Dine military chief Omar Hamaha said.
"It's a legal war in the name of Islam. We are against rebellions. We are against independence. We are against revolutions not in the name of Islam."
Hamaha was speaking in a video obtained by AFP and France 2 television, filmed on Tuesday and Wednesday after the Islamists' takeover of the fabled city of Timbuktu.
In the city of Gao, witnesses said Ansar Dine had kidnapped seven Algerian diplomats, reports confirmed by the Algerian foreign ministry.
While the Islamists appeared to have the upper hand, the separatist MNLA on Friday morning declared the independence of their desert homeland, which they call Azawad, and where several rebellions have played out in past decades.
This latest one was fuelled by a flood of weapons -- and returning Tuareg fighters -- from Libya following Moamer Kadhafi's downfall.
"We solemnly proclaim the independence of Azawad as from today," Mossa Ag Attaher, a Paris-based MNLA spokesman said on France 24 television, confirming a statement on the group's website.
He told AFP the group was ready to help fight the "terrorism" of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.
But the international community swiftly rejected their proclamation.
The African Union dismissed it as "null and of no value whatsoever", while the European Union and United States both called for respect of Mali's "territorial integrity".
Amnesty International warned that north Mali was on the brink of a "major humanitarian disaster".
More than 200,000 people have fled since the rebellion began in mid-January.

-I should also mention she takes it for previously had anixety/shyness. And claims to have developed a low depression after being on it. I'd imagine living so long with blunted emotions would make someone a little depressed....

Ok, more specifically: carbonated drinks would give me excruciating stomach pains. When I stopped taking SSRI's, the problem immediately went away.
